Hallo! Today’s tutorial will be short and simple, but very useful for beginners. I’ll introduce you some simple tricks with text in Adobe Illustrator.<br />
 <br />
<strong>Text along path.</strong><br />
 <br />
Let’s create two kinds of paths – closed and open and try to write some text using “Type on a Path Tool”. <br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/3.gif" alt="3.gif" class="img" /><br />
Use Pen Tool to create open path – just create some points and press Enter.<br />
 <br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/4.gif" alt="Vector Guru - text along path" class="img" /><br />
 <br />
Select “Type on a Path Tool” and click path, then type some text.<br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/5.gif" alt="Vector Guru - text along path" class="img" /><br />
Now we have text along path! But what if you need this text from the other side of the line or inside the circle? It is simple!<br />
Choose “Direct Selection Tool” (letter “A” on keyboard), click on text you need to transform.<br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/6.gif" alt="Vector Guru - text along path" class="img" /><br />
Three guides will appear – on the beginning of the text, at the end of the text and middle guide. Press on the middle guide (digit 2) and pull it to the centre of the circle (to the other side of the open path) holding the mouse.<br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/7.gif" alt="Vector Guru - text along path" class="img" /><br />
Voila! You text now is from the other side of the line!</p>
<p><img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/8.gif" alt="Vector Guru - text along path" class="img" /><br />
 <br />
 <br />
You can also use two other guides to move the text along path using “Direct Selection Tool”.</p>
<p>I hope this tutorial was useful for you. Good luck! <img src='http://vectorguru.org/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /></p>

Hi! Today I&#8217;d want to present you my first tutorial for beginners. It is very simple and will help you in creating two color illustrations composed from one shape.<br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/01.jpg" alt="01.jpg" class="img" /><br />
First of all let&#8217;s choose what to use as illustration. I made fish sketch. Go to <strong>File - New</strong> and create new document. Then go to <strong>File - Place</strong> and choose scan of our sketch.<br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/02.jpg" alt="02.jpg" class="img" /><br />
Now lock the layer with skatch and create new one with pressing &#8220;New&#8221; icon on the <strong>Layers</strong> tab.<br />
Now we are going to make outline so let&#8217;s set attributes of the pen tool as shown on the picture above.<br />
And now&#8230;. we just need to create outline of the fish. <img src='http://vectorguru.org/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/03.jpg" alt="08.jpg" class="img" /><br />
Next step - createing of the scales. Make two circles by using &#8220;ellipse&#8221; tool and &#8220;shift&#8221; key. Copy it (press &#8220;Alt&#8221; and &#8220;Shift&#8221; kays and drug). Select both circles and open tab.<br />
<img src="http://vectorguru.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/04.jpg" alt="07.jpg" class="img" /><br />
